How a family-friendly zoo in Kamp-Lintfort is optimising its processes and eliminating waiting times with ToucanTix


In the heart of Kamp-Lintfort’s Zechenpark, KALISTO Zoo offers families a special experience: visitors can enter most of the enclosures and get up close to the animals – from meerkats and alpacas to goats and sheep. The KALISTO café rounds off the visit with food and drink and a cosy atmosphere.
In addition to daily operations, the team led by managing director Stephanie Winkendick organises a diverse programme of events: children’s birthday parties, alpaca walks, holiday programmes and themed evenings make KALISTO more than just a zoo.
With growing success, the limitations of the previous system became apparent. The various business areas – zoo admission, catering, event bookings and adventure offers – needed a flexible, integrated solution.

Our previous system was not very flexible and involved a lot of manual work. Above all, the back office was not user-friendly and evaluations were only possible to a limited extent.
