Use an upgrade offer to define which day tickets can become which membership levels, how much of the price is credited, and where the offer is available.
Before you start
Set up the target membership levels and their ticket validity first. Each target needs a price category and must be available at every selected point of sale. You need permission to configure upgrade offers.
Create a separate credit article that grants no admission or membership benefit and consumes no capacity. You can share this article across mappings or use separate articles for separate reporting.
Create the offer
- Open Memberships → Upgrade offers and select New upgrade offer.
- Enter an Offer name.
- Under Ticket mappings, choose the Source ticket product and Target price category. Select Add mapping for each further ticket. For example, map an adult day ticket to an adult annual membership and a child day ticket to a child annual membership.
- Under Restriction and credit override, optionally restrict the source to one price category or choose a Different credit article. Without a restriction, the mapping applies to the source product across its price categories.
- Under Credit, choose the Default credit article and Credit calculation. Optionally allow additional target promotions.
- Set the Eligibility window duration and unit.
- Under Availability, enable Available online if needed and add the points of sale that may offer the upgrade. Optionally open Publication period (optional) to set start and end times in the venue’s time zone.
- Select Save draft.
For a family bundle, map each source component to the corresponding target component under Family components. Preserve the chosen family composition: two adults and one child must remain two adults and one child. The example quantities in the preview let you test that combination. Separate tickets cannot be pooled into one family membership.
Choose the credit calculation
| Setting | What is credited |
|---|---|
| Use original ticket paid amount | The settled admission amount after discounts. Extras are excluded. |
| Use credit product price | The credit article’s applicable price, including its pricing rules. It may exceed the original ticket payment. |
Both modes cap credit at the target price. There is no payout or leftover balance. Free source tickets are excluded. Additional target promotions are disabled by default; if allowed, they reduce the target price before credit is applied.
The first successful admission determines the visit date when a scan exists. Otherwise, the selected visit date applies. An undated, unscanned ticket cannot qualify. Calendar-day windows end at the end of the deadline day in the venue’s time zone. A 14-day window starting on 1 October ends after 15 October. Hourly windows require a scan and count exact elapsed hours.
Target validity starts on the visit date and uses the target ticket’s existing validity rules.
Preview, publish and pause
After saving, choose an Example mapping if the offer has several, enter the Original paid amount (for example, 15 for €15.00), and supply the visit date or first admission in the venue’s time zone. Enter family quantities where applicable, then select Calculate example.
The example shows the target price, applied credit, amount to pay, any credit above the cap, target validity and eligibility deadline. It is not a reserved price or proof that a particular ticket qualifies.
Select Publish version 1 (the number increases with each publication) when the configuration is ready. The offer’s status shows Draft, Published or Paused with its current version. Editing and saving afterward changes the draft; the published terms remain in effect until you publish again. Pause offer stops new availability while retaining previous versions and their terms.
You can find the same offer from the source product, target product or membership type. These links open the existing offer rather than creating separate copies.
