Use Information for the customer for practical details customers need after they book a service, such as a meeting point, what to bring, parking, or check-in instructions. The text is added to the customer's order emails. It does not appear in the online shop.
Where customers see the text
| Place | Shows Information for the customer |
|---|---|
| Service page in the online shop | No. Customers see the service's Description. |
| Page shown after checkout | No. |
| Order reserved, Order booked, Order paid, Order updated, and Customer action required emails | Yes, when the template contains the placeholder. The standard templates show the text below each ordered service name. |
| Other order emails, such as Order canceled | Only if you add the placeholder to the template. |
| Scheduled emails | Only if you add the placeholder to the scheduled email's Body. |
| Ticket PDF | Only if you add the placeholder to a text box. The standard ticket template does not include it. |
| Voucher PDF | Only if you add Additional voucher information to a text box. |
| POS receipts | No. |
In an order with several services, each service name is followed by that service's own text. The text is not translated. Customers receive the same wording in every email language.
Information for the customer or a scheduled email
| Question | Information for the customer | Scheduled email |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Text saved on one service. | A separate email with its own subject and body. |
| When customers get it | Inside the order emails sent when the order is reserved, booked, paid, or updated. | At the configured time before or after the booking time or start time. |
| Where you set it up | The service's Customer communications tab. | Comms > Scheduled Emails, then assigned on the service's Customer communications tab. |
| Attachments | Files under Attachments on the same tab are sent with the order confirmation email. | Sent without attachments. |
A scheduled email can repeat the text by including Additional service information in its body. Use this for a reminder that should restate the meeting point or check-in instructions.
Add or change the text
- In the back office, open Services and select Events, Event Templates, Admissions, Products, or Vouchers.
- Open the service.
- Open the Customer communications tab.
- Enter the text under Information for the customer. Keep it short and practical; customers read it in an email.
- Optional: Under Attachments, add files such as a site map or care instructions.
- Select Update communications.
The text applies to emails and tickets created after you save. Emails that were already sent do not change.
Events created from an event template
Where you edit the text depends on how the event was created:
| Event | Where to edit the text |
|---|---|
| Start time generated from an event template | The event template. The event's Customer communications tab is read-only. Changes apply to the template's upcoming start times. |
| Standalone event created from an event template | The event. The event receives a copy of the template's text, attachments, and scheduled emails when you create it. Later changes to the template do not change the event, and changes to the event do not change the template. |
| Start time of a child template grouped under a parent | The parent event template. Order emails and tickets use the parent's text for every start time in the group. |
Check that order emails include the text
The standard order email templates contain the placeholder. A template that was customized before the placeholder became part of the standard may not contain it.
- Open Comms > Email Templates.
- Open the template, for example Order booked.
- In Body, look for Service name and Additional service information inside the order items block.
- If they are missing, place the cursor below the order items table and enter
@. In the Services group, select the order items block. KORONA Event inserts the start and end of the block. - Place the cursor inside the block, enter
@, and select Service name. Repeat for Additional service information. - Repeat the change for every enabled language, then select Update.
To return to the KORONA Event standard instead, use the reset-to-default action described in Edit an email template safely.
Add the text to a ticket PDF
- Open Comms > PDF Templates and open the ticket template.
- Add a Text box where the information should appear.
- Under Content, enter
@and select Additional service information. - Under Visibility, choose Additional service information in Show only when placeholder has a value. The box is then left out for services without text.
- Check the PDF preview and save the template.
For voucher PDFs, use Additional voucher information instead. For details about boxes and placement, see Customize ticket PDF content.
Text on the page after checkout
After checkout, the online shop shows a standard thank-you page with the order number, ticket download buttons when tickets are available, and your contact details. This page does not show Information for the customer, and its wording cannot be edited in the back office. A developer can change or add to this page with shop code snippets.
