Hide, unpublish, or pause an offer
Use this when an offer should stop selling or stop being visible, and you need to pick the mechanism that matches how final the change is.
None of these mechanisms cancels existing orders. Tickets that were already sold stay valid until you cancel or rebook them yourself.
Choose the mechanism
| Goal | Mechanism |
|---|---|
| Remove the offer from shop listings and search | Turn on Hide from shop |
| Stop all customer visibility and booking, reversibly | Revert publishing |
| Delay the launch of a new offer | Set publishing date |
| Stop sales at a certain time before the start | Set Sales end on the channel rule |
| Retire the offer permanently | Archive |
Hide the offer from the shop
Open the offer under Services and turn on Hide from shop on the offer form. The offer header shows Hidden from shop instead of Visible in shop.
A hidden offer disappears from shop listings and search, but it can still be reachable through a direct link depending on setup, and other channels such as the POS or back office can still sell it. Do not use hiding as access control — see the visibility concept article for private alternatives.
Unpublish or schedule publishing
The publishing state controls whether customers can see and book the offer at all. In the offer's action menu:
- Publish now makes the offer live immediately.
- Set publishing date keeps it invisible and unbookable until the date passes; the state shows Will be published on.
- Revert publishing takes a published offer back offline. Customers can no longer see it in the online shop and it is not bookable, but it is not archived and can be published again later.
An offer that was never published shows Not published and does not appear in the online shop.
Close the sales period
To stop new sales while keeping the offer visible for reference, open the Sales channels tab and set Sales end so sales close at the time you need, or remove the affected channel from the rule. This is the right tool for temporary operational pauses — see the related article on pausing online sales for the full decision table.
Archive the offer
Select Archive in the offer's action menu. Archiving moves the offer to the archived list and makes it no longer bookable. The action can be undone with Restore.
Expected result
The offer stops appearing or selling exactly where intended, existing orders and tickets remain untouched, and reversible mechanisms (hiding, publishing, sales period) can be switched back at any time.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| Offer is still reachable after hiding | Direct links, shop page setup, and other sales channels that remain active. |
| Offer is invisible but should be selling | Publishing state, Hide from shop, and the Sales start and Sales end values. |
| Customers with tickets ask if they are affected | Existing orders stay valid; only new sales are stopped. |
| Archived offer needs to come back | Open the archived list and select Restore. |
