Switch the back-office display language

Use this article when you want the KORONA Event back-office interface itself in English or German. This is your personal display language for menus, forms, and messages. It does not change the organisation language or the languages offered to customers in the online shop.
Before you start
- You can change the language on the sign-in page before you sign in, or after sign-in from the user menu.
- The back office currently offers English and Deutsch.
Switch language after sign-in
- Open the user menu from the account icon in the back-office navigation.
- Find Language.
- Select English or Deutsch.
The page reloads in the selected language. KORONA Event keeps the choice for this browser on this back-office domain, including when you open pages that do not show a language in the address.
Switch language on the sign-in page
- Open the back-office sign-in page.
- In the controls at the bottom of the page, find the language choices next to the theme control.
- Select English or Deutsch.
The sign-in page reloads in the selected language. After you sign in, the back office continues in that language until you change it again.
Organisation language versus display language
| Setting | Where you change it | What it controls |
|---|---|---|
| Display language | User menu Language, or the sign-in page | The language of the back-office interface for you |
| Organisation language and shop languages | Admin > Account > Language & Time | Default content language and extra languages for customer-facing texts |
To configure organisation and shop languages, see Set account language, timezone, and contact details.
Expected result
Menus, labels, and messages in the back office appear in the language you selected. The selection remains after you reload the page or sign in again in the same browser.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| The interface language changed back | Confirm whether you are on a different browser, browser profile, device, or back-office domain, then select the language again. |
| Customers still see the wrong shop language | Shop languages are set under Admin > Account > Language & Time, not in the user menu. |
