Create a couponing promotion in KORONA.studio
Use a couponing promotion A pricing campaign that grants a discount or other benefit when its KORONA.studio Couponing rules are satisfied. when a customer should enter a discount code A customer-entered code that activates an eligible promotion. It changes pricing but is not proof of identity or access permission.. New promotions are configured in KORONA.studio and synchronized to KORONA Event; do not create them under the deprecated KORONA Event Settings > Promotions page.
A discount code is different from a voucher. A promotion changes the order price during checkout; a voucher carries a balance or entitlement that the customer redeems later. Neither a discount code nor a hidden direct link securely restricts event registration.
Before you start
Prepare:
- the discount code text customers will enter
- whether the discount is a percentage or a fixed amount, and its value
- the eligibility, products, dates, limits, and POSs the campaign should use
- access to the correct KORONA.studio account, or a colleague who manages couponing there
Create and synchronize the promotion
- In KORONA.studio, create or open the applicable Couponing Promotion.
- Set its customer-facing code, benefit, eligibility, validity dates, and redemption rules.
- Assign it to the points of sale that should accept it, including the POS assigned to the KORONA Event shop when it must work online.
- Save the promotion and wait for the normal KORONA.studio synchronization.
- Allow the normal KORONA.studio synchronization to import the campaign into KORONA Event.
If your team cannot access Couponing Promotions or the synchronized campaign does not appear, contact the KORONA.studio administrator or KORONA Event support. Do not recreate the campaign in the deprecated local Promotions page.
Expected result
The promotion has the intended code, benefit, eligibility, validity, limits, and point-of-sale assignments, including the POS assigned to the online shop when the code should work there.
Troubleshooting
