Remove a price category from one event
Use this when one event should stop offering a price such as Child, Reduced, Member, or Group.
Before you start
Do not archive the global price category unless it should disappear from every offer. For one event, change the event's Prices instead.
Steps
- Open Services > Events.
- Open the event and select Prices.
- Find the row with the price category to remove.
- Remove the price row from this event, or clear all sales channels if you need to preserve the row temporarily for review.
- Select Update prices.
- Test the event in the online shop and POS, if both channels are used.
Check existing sales
Existing orders and invoices may still show the removed price category because it was valid when the customer purchased. That is expected.
| Area | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Orders | Existing orders remain understandable. |
| Shop | The removed category is no longer selectable. |
| POS | Cashiers cannot select the removed category. |
| Reports | Historical sales still appear under the old category. |
Expected result
Future sales for this event no longer offer the removed category. Other events can continue using the same price category.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| Category still appears in the shop | Active price row, sales channel visibility, open cart, and whether you edited the right event. |
| Category disappeared elsewhere | Restore or recreate the global price category if it was archived by mistake. |
| Existing customer asks why their ticket shows it | Explain that historical orders keep the original price label. |
