Copy an event or event template safely
Use duplicate only when the new offer should start from the old setup. Duplicating can copy settings you might not notice on the first screen.
Steps
- Open Services > Events or Event templates.
- Find the source item.
- Open the row action menu and select Duplicate.
- Confirm the duplicate action.
- Open the new event or template.
- Review Name, date or Time pattern, Prices, Sales channels, Required resources, Questions, Email, images, and tags.
- Change anything that should not carry over.
- Publish only after completing a shop or POS test.
Check copied fields
| Area | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Date or time pattern | Old dates can make the offer invisible or unavailable. |
| Prices | Seasonal or early-bird prices may not apply. |
| Sales channels | The copied offer may appear online or in POS too early. |
| Resources | Copied requirements can block capacity unexpectedly. |
| Tags | Tags can affect shop filters and reports. |
| Emails | Old event-specific wording can be sent to new customers. |
Expected result
The copied offer keeps useful setup but has the correct name, schedule, prices, channels, capacity, and customer-facing text for the new sale.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| Copied event is not visible | Date, published state, Hide from shop, sales channels, prices, and tags. |
| Wrong price copied | Prices tab and active sales channels. |
| Capacity is blocked | Event capacity, resource requirements, and inherited resource offsets. |
